Yo!My uncle has an old DXY-800 Plotter that he wants to use again.All i've found so far is drivers and software for the DXY-880, nothing for the DXY-800.Drivers and software for 880:Does anyone here have some windows xp drivers for the DXY-800?And if possible, software that can be used with the DXY-800 plotter on windows xp?Last time this plotter was used, it was with windows 3.1 and AutoCad 2.1.I have found something that might work, a program called 'EAGLE'the DXY-800 is listed in a configuration file for 'EAGLE version 4.08r2' that i found here. If the DXY-800 is anything like the DXY-990, there may be a DIP-switch on the back to select which graphics language that it will accept. There was a proprietary Roland command language (whose name escapes me) and the much more standard HP-GL. The switch will allow the user to select which language the plotter responds to.
May be worth a close inspection of the DIP-switches! Both Rolands that I've looked at have a sticker next to the switches which says what they do.Does your DXY-800 have serial, parallel, or both interfaces?

Having watched the plotter perform again I was reminded what a solid piece of kit it is.
The plotter can be used via a serial or parallel Centronics printer cable interface.
