I have virtually everything on my system working perfectly except for audio. My board is an ASUS P5KPL-AM EPU board which has a VIA VT1708 Audio chipset (it refers to itself as 'Azalia HDAC' in the BIOS). Is there a kext aside from VoodooHDA.kext that will enable sound and proper detection of my sound card? I have to boot with arch=i386 using VoodoHDA and I'd much rather run in 64 bit but sound is holding me back. I've read that this chipset is actually a realtek 892 but I don't really know how to confirm (maybe boot into Linux and grab the output of lspci -nn or dmidecode?). Thanks for the suggestion, but I fail to see how that would help. My audio works, both input and output.

I do find that Voodoo with this chip also gives me occasional KP's, in addition to not registering properly with software i.e. I also prefer working onboard hardware vs. I still have a machine that I have to put a network card into because I can't get the on-board one to work and it annoys the crap out of me.
